Masters Undated CHAMPS Flag Signed by 31 Winners (Nelson, Snead, Keiser, Seve, Big 3) - PSA/DNA #B03323
It is almost breath taking to think that 31 members of the fraternity of Masters winners paused to pen their signatures to this responsibly maintained flag. The configuration of the stitching on this undated Masters flag isolates its manufacturing to the one year style 1998. The corresponding PSA/DNA #B03323 letter dated from 2002 provides rock solid authenticity and also gives us knowledge that this flag was entirely signed between the years of 1998-2002 with the addition of 2003 Masters champion Mike Weir at a latter date. This compilation of Masters champions stands complete from 1956-2003, sans the ever reluctant signer Tom Watson (1977,81). Of significant note on this treasure, of the first magnitude, are the inclusion of pen work from early champions at the Augusta National's annual event including Byron Nelson (1937,42 Died 2006), Herman Keiser (1946, Dec. 2003) and Sam Snead (1949,52,54 Dec.2002). The medium presents with frequently seen light fold marks (the signs of work by a knowledgeable autograph seeker as they spaced the signatures uniformly over the entire flag). The quality of the signatures deviates little from "8-9"--all clean and immediately legible. To be recognized also is the fact that all signatures appear in a uniform black sharpie, and not an often seen hodge podge of colors. There is no telling how many countless hours of work was placed over at least a five year period compiling this work of art in the field of Masters champion autographs. With stated early deceased champions present this flag presents a wonderful opportunity to add recent winners of the Masters to this assemblage. In it's current state it presents among the finest known examples of fifty years of Masters champions rule; beginning with the era of Palmer, Nicklaus, Player and culminated with the dominance of Tiger Woods at the Augusta National. It is easy to see the tremendous display potential this flag offers for home or office, a certain conversation piece.
