Lot of Five Gary Player Signed Scorecards - Major Championship Courses!
Offered here are five scorecards from Major championship courses. Gary Player has signed each scorecard in black marker. Mr Fitness' nine major championships is tied with Ben Hogan for fourth on the all-time list, trailing only Walter Hagen (11), Tiger Woods (14), and Jack Nicklaus (18). The South African golfer was one of golf's "Big Three" with Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer dating back to the 1960s and 1970s when they were largely responsible for the growing popularity of golf during the game's television era. The following courses are represented:
Oakland Hills - Player won the 1972 PGA Championship held here
Carnoustie - Player won the 1968 Open Championship here
Augusta National - Player won the Masters in 1961, 1974, and 1978
Aronimink - Player won the 1962 PGA Championship here
Bellerive - Player won the 1965 US Open held here
The scorecards are in good condition and will display nicely.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
