Clear black ink signatures on 1953 second printing of book "THE BOBBY JONES STORY" from the writings of O.B. Keeler by Grantland Rice. The Jones signature is penned simply: "For Oz Zielke with best wishes, Bob Jones". Signature presents with"9" strength. The Smith signature is signed "Good Luck + Good Golfing Horton Smith PGA 1954". Smith autograph presents with "10" strength. Both signatures are penned on the inside first page opposite the back of the front cover of the book. These are spaced so if wished they could both be removed from book as two cut signatures. They do however match well together linked through the inaugural 1934 Augusta National Invitational (better known today as the Masters). Jones as the founding father of the club and its now historical first leg of golf's grandslam. Smith, of course, was the first champion of the event winning the inaugural tournament in 1934.Book Has dust jacket and is in vg-ex condition with exception being approx 2 inch tear on upper part of spine. Both signatures in this lot have been reviewed by James Spence Authentication (JSA), and their letter will accompany this lot.
