1963 PGA Championship at DAC Country Club Program - Jack Nicklaus Winner
This offering is for the 1963 PGA Championship at Dallas Athletic Club program that saw The Golden Bear claim his first PGA Championship. Jack Nicklaus at the 1963 PGA Championship not only defeated the field of top professionals and the challenging Dallas Athletic Club's Blue Course, he also overcame temperatures over 100 degrees on Championship Sunday. It was so hot when Nicklaus received the Wanamaker champions trophy he had to use a towel to protect his hands from the scalding metal. The triumph was his first of five PGA Championship wins in a career that would total 18 Major wins. The program grades in good condition, with only slight binding wear from usage. This detail is merely noted for accuracy, please see photographs. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
