1918 Red Cross Tournament at Baltusrol Evans/Wood vs Kirkby/Marston Ticket
Featured in this lot is a ticket from the 1918 Red Cross Tournament at Baltusrol Golf Club that saw an exhibition match during World War I of Evans and Wood against Kirkby and Marston. Customary of war relief tournaments is the simple design with a vibrant Red Cross insignia. The reverse includes a Dunlop Rubber Co. "Manufacturers of the Famous Dunlop Golf Balls" advertisement that has a ink strike through and "Lt. Spencer J. Searls" penned below. This ticket is in very good condition with with very little detraction from reminents of a paperclip on the top edge. 2 3/4" in diameter.
