Errie Ball has autographed a Masters scorecard adding the 1934 Masters inscription to his signature. He is noted as the last living member from the field of players in the initial Masters in 1934. November 14th will mark the anniversary of his birth 102 years ago. Ball in 1926, at 15, became the youngest contestant in the British Open. Bobby Jones won the event, and started mentoring the young Ball. Bobby would later employ Ball in the United States. This led to his invitation to the first Masters, an event he would tie for 38th in. He did not compete in the Masters again until 1957. The gap of 23 years between appearances is the longest in the history of the event. Ball signature has been reviewed by James Spence Authentication (JSA) and their letter of authenticity comes with this item.
