Doug Ford TaylorMade 'Season Opener' Green/Yellow Golf Bag - First Year Made for Masters
A trend which carried over to each of Golf's Majors was started with the Masters and TaylorMade when they distributed these event theme colored bags for tournament use to each of there players on staff. Offered here is the bag which 1957 Masters Champion Doug Ford was issued for his use in both the par 3 and championship rounds in 2003. Ford also won the 1955 PGA Championship and was a top American golfer for many years, getting chosen for The United States Ryder Cup Team on four separate occasions. This tour bag is made of the finest quality and is in very good condition.
The Golf Auction will be on site this Tuesday through Sunday (July 31st - August 4th) at the 2019 National Sports Collectors Convention in Rosemont, Il. We will be accepting consignments, performing appraisals, and accepting bids. Stop by and say hello! We will be in Booth #1018
AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, August 4th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
