Bobby Jones 1930 Grand Slam Mid-Week Pictorial Cover - October 11th

Bobby Jones was a 13 time Major champion, including his own personal "Bobby Slam" in which he won the Amateur and Open Championships in the US and the UK in the same calendar year. Bobby was also the founder of Augusta National Golf Club and the co-founder of the Masters Tournament. Here we have a cover of the October 11, 1930 Mid-Week Pictorial with Bobby Jones on the cover holding the trophy from the 1930 US Amateur. Jones had an incredible season in 1930, winning the grand slam consisting of the US Amateur and Open Championships as well as the British Amateur and Open Championships.

The Golf Auction will be on site this Tuesday through Sunday (July 31^st - August 4^th) at the 2019 National Sports Collectors Convention in Rosemont, Il. We will be accepting consignments, performing appraisals, and accepting bids. Stop by and say hello! We will be in Booth #1018

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, August 4th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
