'Harry Vardon Ganton' Stamped Hickory Club w/ Brassie Sole & Vardon Shaft Stamp
1896 marked the year that Vardon became the head professional at Ganton Golf Club, the same year he won the first of his six Open Championship titles. This club comes in very good to excellent condition and features two prominent H Vardon stamps, one being on the top of the head and one on the shaft. Vardon was one of the premier golfers and club makers of his time, with an award in his name presented to the PGA Tour player with the lowest season-long scoring average that has been given since 1937. There is a lead weight on the bottom of the head. The head is 1 1/4" wide, 3" long and 42" from heel of the club to top of the grip.This piece will come with a signed letter from Historian Bob Denney of the PGA, proclaiming that this item comes from their collection.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, July 21st with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
