Ben Hogan Signed 1983 First Day Issue 'Physical Fitness'

Ben Hogan was an 9x major winning American professional golfer, generally considered one of the greatest players in the history of the game. Born within six months of two other acknowledged golf greats of the twentieth century, Sam Snead and Byron Nelson, Hogan is notable for his profound influence on the golf swing theory and his legendary ball-striking ability, for which he remains renowned among players and fans. 1983 First Day Issue stamp and postal mark cachet is signed beautifully by Ben Hogan in black marker. The cachet is dated May 14, 1983 and is 9 1/2" x 4". James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, April 14th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
