Ben Hogan Signed 1967 Exhibition Contract Agreement with Supporting Paperwork
Here is an actual contract Ben Hogan received and signed by the two-time Masters winner. This took place in Indiana in 1967 and has University of Indiana Hoosiers content. Hogan signed with blue pen on the line, accepting all stipulations of the contract. Hogan had nine career professional major championships tying him (with Gary Player) for fourth all-time, trailing only Jack Nicklaus (18), Tiger Woods (14) and Walter Hagen (11). Furthermore, he is one of only five golfers to have won all four major championships currently open to professionals (the Masters Tournament, the British Open, the U.S. Open, and the PGA Championship), the other four being Nicklaus, Woods, Player, and Gene Sarazen. James Spence Authentication (JSA)has reviewed this signature, and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. Additional paperwork regarding the exhibition event in included in this lot.
