Byron Nelson Ryder Cup Captain Pastel Drawing Signed by Artist M. Mullins
While Nelson cut his own career short, by retiring at age 34, he didn't fail to leave his mark on the game. In 1945, Nelson won 11 consecutive tournaments and 18 out of the 35 possible tournaments in a shortened season due to the war. His name is now attached to the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, the first PGA Tour event to be named after a professional golfer. This pastel drawing comes from artist M. Mullins' Ryder Cup Captains series and measures 11" x 14." This relic of competition at golfs highest level comes directly from the PGA where it has resided for over 75 years. From the collection of PGA REACH, with a certificate of authenticity accompanying this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, April 14th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
