Pair of Dark Brown "I Like Ike" Socks

With difference to Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and a host of other captains of industry the most famous member of the Augusta National is none other then Dwight D. Eisenhower. A war hero and 34th President of the United States sure makes up in a hurry for a golf game that let's say was pedestrian. But if you think that you are smitten with the golf bug you are still most likely no match for the love affair that Ike had with the game. Here are "I Like Ike" socks that are time-period to his presidency. They were produced by a company named Wilstretch, with the Pat. number located in the company info on the bottom of the sock. These are in excellent condition and date back to the late 1950s/early 1960s. This relic of competition at golfs highest level comes directly from the PGA where it has resided for over 75 years. From the collection of PGA REACH, with a certificate of authenticity accompanying this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:

This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, April 14th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
