Gene Sarazen 1975 Signed Four Page Handwritten Letter
The career grand slam is arguably the greatest feat in the sport of golf. Gene Sarazen was the first to capture this feat using the modern four major tournaments. Here we have a completely hand-written four paged letter from that man to a personal friend of his. During this time in 1975 Gene seemed to be a busy man with family matters and likely a little stressed out. This propelled him to give his un-cut opinions on a few different interesting subjects including the role that rough has on a golf course and his thoughts on Medinah Country club. Sarazen makes meaningful mentions to Nicklaus grand slam, family/friends wellness, and Augusta National Golf Club. He then signed it “Gene” on the bottom of the fourth page. James Spence Authentication (JSA)has reviewed this 1975 signature, and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
