Craig Wood Dunlop 264 Dimple Golf Ball with Marked Two Green Dots in Worn Box
The “Blond Bomber” was 1941 Masters and US Open Champion Craig Wood’s nickname for good reason. He was able hit the ball a mile; with a little credit given to his father that was a timber company foreman by trade who instilled a tough worth ethic in his son Craig. The ball itself dates to 1939, while this box is not original to the ball and is from a 1960's Ford Motor Company promotion featuring the Thunder Bird and Mustang car models. The Dunlop 264 signature ball remains in good condition with two green dots above Craig Wood’s name. This relic of competition at golfs highest level comes directly from the PGA where it has resided for over 75 years. From the collection of PGA REACH, with a certificate of authenticity accompanying this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, April 14th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
