1962 PGA Championship at Aronimink GC Contestant Badge - Gary Player Winner
This tournament gave Gary Player his third leg of his career grand slam, as it was his first of two PGA victories. The badge is in very good, to excellent condition and uses a royal blue, white and gold color pattern of enamel against the 1 3/8” x 2 ½” money clip which carried engraving 1962 on its facing side. Fleck's money clip issued for the '62 event is offered here still retaining all its original enamel. The reverse of this memento carries stampings of where these matches were contested "Aronimink Golf Club" "Newtown Square, PA" and the date July 19-22. This relic of competition at golfs highest level comes directly from the PGA where it has resided for over 75 years. From the collection of PGA REACH, with a certificate of authenticity accompanying this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, April 14th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
