Circa 1900 Tom Morris Splice Neck Wood - Stamped "T. Morris, R.B.T And 8" with Shaft Stamp
Old Tom Morris was a key figure in golf in the 1860s, and his life revolved around golf up until his death in 1908. He won the Open Championship four times (1861, 1862, 1864, and 1867) and he and his son, Young Tom Morris, are some of the most recognizable names in golf. Not only was he known for his play, he was also a renowned golf course architect and clubmaker. Here we have a splice neck wood that measures 41". Has the "T. Morris" head stamp along with the initials "R.B.T." with the number 3. Shaft stamp is also "T. Morris St. Andrews". This club is in fine condition and will add well to any vintage collection. Has lead weight, sheepskin grips, and is fine condition with some wear. 41". From the collection of PGA Reach, with their certificate of authenticity accompanying this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, March 3rd, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
