H.O. Tallmadge 1901 Signed Letter - Hosted Founding USGA Dinner in 1894
Mr. Tallmadge was a significant party to the formation of the United States Golf Association. He hosted that organizations founding dinner in 1894, and was appointed the first secretary of the U.S.G.A in 1895. This exquisite letter on embossed stationery recommends a perspective invitee for membership in the first golf club in the United States, St. Andrews. Composed in tenth strength to this day fountain pen with a signature that can not be improved on. Page presents original mail fold otherwise in NR/MT condition.
