Slazenger Patent Brassie with Brass Sole Plate
Slazenger is known as a sporting goods manufacturer mainly for golf and tennis equipment. However, during the years of WWII, the factory took on manufacturing tasks that helped aide the war efforts. Unfortunately the factory was bombed and thus began a series of mergers to continue their manufacturing efforts. In the end, the Slazenger name survived. This lot contains a Slazenger brassie that presents well. Markings from use on the sole plate as well as wear from play on the grip. It measures 43" to the heel
