Al Geiberger Signed 1966 PGA Championship at Firestone CC Program
Offered here is a program from the 1966 PGA Championship at Firestone signed by the winner Al Geiberger. The program shows creases at the spine and front top right corner and scuff marks throughout, noted for accuracy, please see photographs. The tournament was held at Firestone Country Club because the original site at Columbine Country Club sustained damage from a flash flood. It was the site of Al Geiberger's only Major championship. There is also a solemn memory that accompanies this championship. A few hours after competing in the tournament, Tony Lema along with his wife and two pilots perished as they attempted an emergency landing en route to Illinois.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
