1949 US Open Championship at Medinah Program - Cary Middlecoff Winner
Offered here is a program from the 1949 US Open. Cary Middlecoff, with brilliant second and third rounds of 67 and 69 over the tough layout of Medinah's No. 3 course just outside of Chicago, saw his large lead be challenged over the final round by Clayton Haefner and Sam Snead. Though challenged, Middlecoff held on for a one stroke margin of victory over both his pursuers. The program offered here shows some wear to the cover with paper loss and dog earring, please see photographs.
