1924 'Lawns for Sport' Book by Reginald Beale - John Roth Collection

Offered here is Reginald Beale's 1924 "Lawns for Sport." This is a comprehensive guide to caring for sports lawns from how to mow and what machines to use to pest control and fertilizers. The book contains illustrations and photographs, including the 11th green at Brookline, the first permanent English seed turf in the United States. The cover shows wear and discoloration and the pages show some foxing. There is slight separation at the spine from the cover, though all pages are secure.
