Ben Hogan June 26, 1953 Original Press Photo - British Open
Ben Hogan is one of only five golfers to complete golf's career Grand Slam, by winning each Major championship. What makes Hogan's completion of this feat so incredible is that it took him just one attempt at the British Open to do so. Ben Hogan's only appearance at the Open was in 1953, a year that he won three of the four Majors. Hogan won the 1953 British Open at Carnoustie by four strokes over the field. Offered here is an original press photograph from that tournament. Also pictured is Frank Stranahan looking on as Hogan tees off.
