1916 Country Club of Detroit 'Rules of Golf' Booklet #865 Issued to Mr. D. Lucking

The Country Club of Detroit was founded in 1897 and hosted the US Amateur in 1915 and 1954, where a young Arnold Palmer decided to quit selling paint and play golf for a living. Offered here is a limited edition #865 Rules of Golf booklet issued by the Country Club of Detroit to a Mr. D. Lucking. The booklet, outlining the rules and etiquette of golf, comes with a soft suede-like cover that shows some wear, though is still highly presentable.

Please note: This auction will end at 5:00pm EST on Sunday, June 17th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, there is a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
