Jack Nicklaus Signed 2005 Open Championship at St. Andrews Screen Flag
Jack Nicklaus leaves his signature on this 2005 Open Championship at St. Andrews flag, a course that saw him raise the Claret Jug after winning in 1970 and 1978, and the 2005 Open marked Nicklaus' final Open Championship appearance. The Golden Bear may have been feeling a bit uneasy leaving as he watched Tiger Woods lead from start-to-finish to win his tenth Major championship, completing his second career grand slam in the process. Tiger's 14 Major victories still pose the biggest threat to Jack's record of 18.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
