Burke Junior Putter - Children's Club - M.M.
William Burke had managed MacGregor's clubmaking for nearly 15 years before branching out on his own in 1910. By the late 1920's and early 1930's they were mass-producing affordable store-brand clubs, particularly the Columbia range. It is easy to overlook the quality and innovation they produced, but the fact that Jock Hutchison used their clubs, and Harry Vardon later gave them his endorsement, speaks volumes. Offered here is a junior putter that measures 25" from heel to end and has the initials "M. M." engraved on the back.
Please note: This auction will end at 5:00pm EST on Sunday, March 4th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items is now in effect. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
