The Doulton family started making pipes and sanitary fittings in 1815, later enlisting local artists to design tableware and fine collectibles. Doulton was granted the Royal Warrant in 1901, and continues to make fine glassware to this day, now a part of the Waterford Wedgwood family. This example comes with as the box only, no trays. It measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 2" and is in exquisite condition.

**THE R. WAYNE PERKINS COLLECTION**

Wayne Perkins has dedicated a lifetime to education as a teacher for more than 40 years at the University of Evansville, where he served as the chair for the philosophy and religion departments. By this time Perkins had already developed, through countless hours spent at ceramic trade shows and his scholarly skills as a meticulous researcher, the background knowledge necessary to easily navigate through the nuances at the highest levels of exquisite golf themed pottery. This time period in his life, along with his membership in The Golf Collectors Society since 1980 served as corner stones in the formation of a golf themed pottery collection which ranks at the "head of the class".
