Byron Nelson Letter, Badge, Programs (1980 & 1981) from 1st Senior Tour Event Legends of Golf
Byron Nelson accomplished many great things in his relatively short career, winning 52 PGA Tour events and 5 Majors. Though he retired in 1946, Nelson would continue to compete in the Masters Tournament, even finishing as high as 15th place in 1965. Presented here are items from the first Senior Tour event, the Legends of Golf Tournament. Included are a letter from 1979 signed simply "Byron" in blue ink, the 1980 and 1981 tournament programs, and a badge from the 1979 tournament.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
Please note: Our bidders have spoken, and we have listened to their wishes. With that in mind, this auction will end at 5:00pm EST on Sunday, January 28th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period.
Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items is now in effect. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
