Vintage Photograph of J.H. Taylor Hitting out of Bunker at 'News of the World Tournament'

J. H. Taylor won the News of the World Tournament twice, in 1904 and 1908. Offered here is a vintage photograph of Taylor hitting out of the bunker in front of the gallery. John Henry Taylor was an English golfer who along with Harry Vardon and James Braid dominated British golf at the turn of the 20th century, earning them the nickname the "Great Triumvirate." Taylor won five Open Championships (1894, 1895, 1900, 1909, 1913) and was runner-up to Vardon at the 1900 U.S. Open. This photograph shows a title added in text to the front, as well as handwriting and a stamp on the back. It measures 6 1/4" x 3 1/2".
