Ernie Els Signed June 22, 2002 The Scotsman Sport Newspaper
Ernie Els had to earn his first Claret Jug by winning a playoff over Stuart Appleby, Steve Elkington, and ultimately by beating Thomas Levet in a sudden-death playoff at the 2002 Open Championship. This was the first four-man playoff in Open Championship history. Offered here is the June 22, 2002 The Scotsman Sport newspaper with Els on the cover. His signed his photograph nicely in black marker.
