Lot of Two Payne Stewart Signed Interior Magazine Layouts
Stewart won eleven PGA Tour events, including three major championships in his career, the last of which occurred only months before he died in an airplane accident at the age of 42. Stewart was always popular with fans and photographers alike for his zany wardrobe choices that were often reminiscent of the olden days of the sport. Presented here are two magazine layouts signed by Stewart in black marker. One is from the Augusta 18, 1989 Golf World magazine recapping the PGA Championship won by Payne. The other is with an accompanying Rick Reilly article concerning his US Open victory at Hazeltine.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signatures and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
