Tommy Bolt Signed Hadaway Artists Proof #1/10: "A Strategy: How To Win The 1958 US Open"
The artist of this one of ten artist proof is Carlos Hadaway who started as a cartoonist. He created the first logo for the San Diego Padres baseball team. Here he brings his artistic skills to recreate Tommy Bolt's triumph at the 1958 U.S. Open contested at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This ensemble has also been enhanced with a reproduction of the cover of the 1958 official U.S.G.A. scorecard. Both artist Hadaway and '58 Champion Tommy Bolt have autographed this work. The framed piece measures 26 1/4" x 29 1/2".
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
