1928 PGA Championship Black and White Wire Photo - Espinosa and Diegel with Trophy

Leo Diegel defeated Walter Hagen in the first round and Gene Sarazen in the second round of the 1928 PGA Championship. Hagen and Sarazen had combined to win the previous 7 PGA Championships. For Diegel it must have felt like a continuous final round. He managed Al Espinosa in the final 6 & 5 to win the first of his consecutive PGA Championship titles. Offered here is an 8 x 10 wire photo of Diegel and Espinosa shaking hands with the trophy.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, November 19th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
