1961 Masters Tournament Badge #8370 - Gary Player Winner
Offered here is a Masters Tournament series badge from 1961 in excellent condition free from any cracks which frequently plague this years badges. This example is sans pin from the top (see photos with lot for in depth condition review). A prized badge, 1961 was the first year in which the Augusta National made plastic badges for admission to the Masters, making this always a sought after addition for badge collectors. After the final round was pushed back to Monday due to heavy rains the day before, Gary Player held off Arnold Palmer by a single stroke to become the very first international Masters Champion.
