"Lighthorse" Harry Cooper Signed 8x10 B&W Photo

Harry "Lighthorse" Cooper was an English-American golfer who was considered one of the best to never win a Major tournament, despite winning 31 times on the PGA Tour. After winning the inaugural Los Angeles Open and finishing the final 18 holes in just 2 1/2 hours, sportswriter Damon Runyon dubbed him "Lighthorse Harry" after Lighthorse Harry Lee, a cavalry officer for the Continental Army in the American Revolution (the father of General Robert E. Lee.) This black and white photo of Cooper finishing his swing is signed in blue ink.

James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature, and their letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, June 18th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
