Henry Cotton Hand Written, Dated, and Signed Letter
Henry Cotton was Great Britain's greatest player since the days of Harry Vardon. After 10 straight American victories in the British Open, Cotton broke the streak when he won in 1934. He won again in 1937 and for a third time in 1948.
Offered here for bidders is a letter written by Henry Cotton in bold black ink. Not only is the letter dated 08/17/1987, but it features the following:
Dear Doug/
Many thanks for offering to help Chickie when we met at the oval; She was very thrilled to meet such a "big-shot."
Here with the survey(?) which was mentioned during our chat, could it be returned to this address, when it has been used. Soon(?)
Yours
Henry Cotton
This letter will add nicely to any collection.
