1976 US Open Commemorative Calamity Jane Post Card Signed by Palmer & 8 others
The 1976 US Open, held at the Atlanta Athletic Club, saw tour rookie Jerry Pate win his only major. He edged out Al Geiberger and Tom Weiskopf by two strokes. This tournament also saw Jack Nicklaus' streak of 13 straight top 10 major finishes come to an end, the Golden Bear finishing tied for 11th place. Offered here for bidders is a commemorative post card depicting the Calamity Jane Post Office. The back reads as follows:

This hand-crafted replica of a small post office was built by J. Summerour, Postmaster, Duluth, Georgia as a special tribute to the 1976 U. S. Open Golf Championship - Atlanta Athletic Club, home club of Robert t. Jones Jr. The post office bears the same name as Mr. Jones' famous putter.
