Fall Golf Memorabilia Auction Nicklaus MAJOR 18th Hole Flags
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/21/2010
Golf is a sport that respects its traditions as much as it focuses on
the future. To that end, Byron Huff created this series of hand-
signed evocative poster designs - two from the 1986 US Open at Long
Island's Shinnecock Hills Golf Club won by Raymond Floyd, and one
from the US Open in 1997 held at Bethesda's Congressional Country
Club, where Ernie Els took home the victory with a final score of 4
under par. In 1986, Byron Huff was the first artist ever commissioned
by the United States Golf Association to create official posters for
the US Open Championship, witness the two posters from the Shinnecock
championship. Now residing in the Lake Oconee area of Georgia, Byron
is widely known for his accomplishments in the field of golf poster
and graphic arts design. Great 3 poster Lot.
