Tommy Bolt, Peter Thomson, & Dow Finsterwald Signed 1959 Sports Illustrated
The June 8, 1959 issue of Sports Illustrated magazine featured a preview of the 1959 US Open. Here we have a copy signed by Tommy Bolt, Peter Thomson, and Dow Finsterwald. All three golfers left their bold signatures on the cover in black marker.
Tommy Bolt, the defending champion, won his only Major at the 1958 US Open
The Australian Peter Thomson won 5 British Opens (1954, 1955, 1956, 1958, 1965)
Dow Finsterwald won his lone Major, the PGA Championship, in 1958
