Ken Venturi Signed Sports Illustrated 'Sportsman of the Year' 12/21/1964

Since its inception in 1954, Sports Illustrated magazine has annually presented the "Sportsman of the Year" award to "the athlete or team whose performance that year most embodies the spirit of sportsmanship and achievement". Only five golfers over this sixty year period have received this prestigious honor- Arnold Palmer 1960, KEN VENTURI 1964, Lee Trevino 1971, Jack Nicklaus 1978 and Tiger Woods 1996, 2000. We offer the mentioned 1964 Sports Illustrated issue depicting Ken Venturi on the cover in good condition. The Hall of Famer, Venturi has added his black sharpie signature to the cover.
