Lot of Three PenFold Patented Items - Original Packaging
Founded in 1927 by Albert Ernest Penfold, Penfold Golf Ltd. was a British manufacturer of golf balls, gloves, and other equipment. Offered in this lot is the original packing for Penfold Atente matched test balls. An interesting aspect to this lot is that the package, which does show signs of age and has been opened, presented two separate sizes of golf balls, one 'American size' and a 'British size.' While the golf balls have not left their original packaging, these test balls are unplayable, showing the inner contents of the ball and their coloring shows age. This lot should spark the curiosity of any vintage golf item collector.
