Byron Nelson Hand Written Letter Alluding to Watching Babe Ruth Golf

Here we have a hand written letter from Byron Nelson. The letter is a response to one asking Nelson if he ever played golf with baseball players as it seemed to be popular to do in the 1930s and 1940s. Nelson's response is as follows:

"Jerry:
I played golf with Fred Honey Mgr of Toledo Mud Hens. I think baseball players like golf because it is a fun game that you can play as long as you can walk. I saw Babe Ruth play in a golf tournament in Cleveland, Ohio in 30's. Walked around the course as a spectator of Pebble Beach once. Played golf with Dizzy Dean. Loved golf. Hope this answers your ?
