President Eisenhower Signed 1954 Letter to Ben Hogan

Here we have a letter from President Dwight Eisenhower to Ben Hogan. Eisenhower was an avid golfer and fan and friend of many of the golfers of the time. He joined Augusta National Golf Club in 1948 and was relatively close to Clifford Roberts. Eisenhower was inducted to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2009 in the Lifetime Achievement category. The following is the text from this personal letter sent to Ben Hogan:

"Dear Ben:
Before I leave Palm Springs, I want to tell you again how grand it has been to have a few games with you-- and to thank you for all the arrangements you made on my behalf. I have enjoyed this vacation to the utmost, and I am deeply grateful to you for your part in making it so pleasant.

Dwight Eisenhower"
