1941 War Time Letters To & From Merion Cricket Club Regarding Dues While Enlisted
Here we have correspondence between the Merion Cricket Club and Mr. Hal Bemis discussing Bemis' club dues. These letters are dated September 1941 and indicate Bemis' service in the Army would take him away from playing at the club. Merion's secretary astutely dismissed the fees and all past due balances. What a guy!
