1966 PGA Championship at Firestone Hardbound Program - Warren Orlick Name on Cover
The 1966 PGA Championship was held at Firestone Country Club because the original site at Columbine C.C. sustained damage from a flash flood. It was the site of Al Geiberger's only major championship. There is also a solemn memory that accompanies this chapmionship. A few hours after competing in the tournament, Tony Lema along with his wife and two pilots perished as they attempted an emergency landing en route to Illinois. This lot presents a hard bound program from that tournament in good condition with only minor wear apparent.
