Lot of Four Titleholder's Championship @ Augusta CC Programs - 1955, 1956, 1957, & 1958
The Augusta Country Club which is the next door neighbor of the Augusta National began hosting this high level ladies event in 1937. After the LPGA organized in 1950 this event and its winners would retroactively recognized with Major status. This was a boon to the accomplishments, not that she needed it, of Patty Berg who won the first three events staged in 1937-39 among the seven overall Titleholders Championships she claimed in her Hall of Fame career. Presented in this lot are four different years Titleholders programs which average at least excellent in condition (all pages intact, with strong spines). They consistent of 1955 Patty Berg champ, 1956 Louise Suggs champ, 1957 Patty Berg champ and 1958 Beverly Hanson champ.
