Bob Goalby Original Oil Painting Hung at Green Jacket Restaurant In Augusta

Bob Goalby won the Masters in 1968, his lone Major victory among his 14 professional wins. His 1968 Masters win is well known, as he was tied through 72 holes with Roberto DeVicenzo. DeVicenzo's playing partner Tommy Aaron incorrectly recorded a par 4 17th hole, when DeVicenzo in fact had birdied the hole. DeVicenzo failed to catch the error before signing his card and by rule the score stood and Bob Goalby won by one stroke. This original oil portrait hung in the Green Jacket restaurant in Augusta. The frame measures 21 3/4" x 19" while the painting itself measures 11" x 14"
