1916 Vice President's Trophy Won by Paul G. Macurda - Presented by Ephraim Sterns
This lot features a large trophy bowl from the Albermarle Golf Club in Newton, Massachusetts. The trophy is states "Vice President's Trophy 1916 Won by Paul G. Macurda" opposite side says "Presented by Ephraim Stearns" and bottom is stamped "N.G. Wood & Sons Boston 951." Made by Boston silversmiths N.G. Wood & Sons. N.G Wood & Sons was founded in 1844 by Nathaniel G. Wood, and began as a watch and jewelry maker. After Nathaniel passed away, the business began to make prize cups, pewter, silver and glass. Maximum diameter is 11 1/2" and stands 6 1/8".
