Arnold Palmer Classic Wilson Dyna Power Irons Advertising Postcard
Arnold Palmer was an influential and well loved figure in golf and he will be sorely missed. Among his many achievements on the golf course, Arnie became something of a pitchman and a very successful one, third behind only Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods for lifetime advertising earnings. Palmer signed his first equipment endorsement deal with Wilson Sporting Goods three months after winning the 1954 U.S. Amateur at the Country Club of Detroit. His name and picture began appearing in advertisements for the company’s Dyna-Weight irons in 1955. This lot features a postcard advertisement in great condition with only slight wear to the edges.
