1951 World Championship of Golf Pro Contestants Medal - Tam O'Shanter
This 1" x 7/8" contestants medal is from the 1951 World Championship of Golf. This PGA Tour event existed from 1946 to 1957 and was a player favorite for the considerable purse that dwarfed the other tournaments. Established by George May, the contest was held at the Tam O'Shanter Country Club, in Niles, Illinois. Ben Hogan won the 1951 contest over Jimmy Demaret. Medal presents in good condition with original chain.
